For parents and students alike, there is no better way to learn than the correct way, a recognized way and an accepted standard. (In fact, there should be NO other way) You are about to spend hard earned money and more than that, your own personal time on practicing and refining your skills. So lets get the right start and lay a foundation on which you are able to build your drumming vocabulary.

Drum Institute South Africa (DISA) offers part-time, one-on-one drum tuition as well as a one-year full-time course. Lessons take place in a fully equipped studio with both electronic and acoustic drum kits. Whether you want to take drumming seriously or just out to have fun playing in a band with friends, DISA is able to assist you.

DISA is a partner school to Drumtech, London. As a partner school, DISA helps prepare students to further their education and networking at Drumtech in the UK.

At DISA you will learn the fundamental styles for application as a contemporary working drummer, enabling you to perform under any given style of music and situation you may be placed in today, using electronic and acoustic equipment. DISAs course material is constantly updated to make it the most relevant syllabus you will find.

Full-time students are assessed on a continuous basis throughout the year with a final assessment at the end of each quarter. This quarterly assessment will be in the form of recordings (audio and video).
